MARK Burns-Williamson, the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, is looking for motivated, community focused young people between the ages of 13 and 21 to join his Youth Advisory Group, which is in its second year.
The group meets two or three times a year to discuss policing and community safety from a young person’s point of view. It also makes visits, comments on discussion topics and raises issues affecting them and their peers with the PCC.
Mr Burns-Williamson said: “I promised to treat all young people as citizens, valuing their interests and opinions as much as any other citizens in the community.
“The group gives direct contact with young people who are able to express their views and comments which steer all future decisions, policy and engagement with young people.”
