WORK to fell an avenue of more than 30 mature trees in Saltaire was delayed yesterday due to the weather.
Part of a major restoration scheme in Victoria Road, the first stage of the £720,000 project was re-scheduled to start today.
The full project involves removing 32 mature trees, planted in the 1950s, and planting eight smaller trees near Alexandra Square.
It will also see Bradford Council repairing pavements, installing new street lighting and illuminating the lions outside Victoria Hall and Shipley College’s premises.
