A PRIMARY school in Clayton Heights has once again been praised by Ofsted inspectors, who said teaching was “consistently good”.
Stocks Lane Primary School was visited by inspectors in December, and they have released a judgement of ‘good’ in all categories. The school had been deemed ‘good’ in its 2011 inspection.
The report says: “The school’s work to keep pupils safe is outstanding. All pupils say they feel extremely safe in school and are very proud of their school.“Pupils reach standards that are above average in reading, writing and English grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and average in mathematics.
“Effective use is made of the primary sport funding. It has increased participation in sports as varied as karate and ballet.”
It also praises head teacher Nicky Kilvington, saying she is “very dedicated”.
