MORRISONS and Asda have announced further cuts in prices at the pump for petrol and diesel.
The latest boost for motorists sees Bradford-based Morrisons reducing both unleaded petrol and diesel by up to 2p-per-litre from tomorrow morning at its 332 petrol stations, although prices vary across the UK.
Asda is dropping its national price cap, meaning drivers will pay no more than 103.7p a litre on unleaded and 110.7p a litre for diesel across its 245 filling stations from tomorrow morning.
The latest move is Morrisons eighth fuel price cut in six weeks following further falls in the wholesale oil price. Asda has reduced prices 15 times since the end of September and is the only retailer with a national price capMark Todd, Morrisons petrol director, said: “Wholesale prices have dropped further and we want to pass on these savings to our customers.”
