OTLEY’S 2014 Christmas Tree Festival looks set to have raised more than £3,000 for local charities and community groups.

The event, started up by Otley Chamber of Trade Member Tim Wilkinson four years ago, once again attracted large numbers of visitors – including some from overseas.

Held at All Saints Parish Church over four days in December, this year’s festival was also supported by performances from a number of local bands and school choirs.

The combined total raised so far has passed £2,500.
