AN event will bring together young and old to learn new ways to eat healthily.
Part of the We Love Eating campaign, the event on January 21 will bring together Dixons Green pathways students with the older users of Café West in Allerton.
The group will take part in a physical activity using dance and exercise games using the XBOX connect and then cook low-fat banana blueberry muffins and fat-free hot chocolate.
At the end of the session all participants will sit down together and enjoy the healthy treats. Rebecca Scholes, healthy eating and nutrition co-ordinator at the cafe, said: “Intergenerational activity is much more than older people and young people being active and cooking at the same time. When people of diverse age groups are active together, they share experiences, learn from each other and help one another.”
