BURGLARS forced a door to enter a house in Bradford to steal an almost new Mercedes hatchback (pictured) - but dumped the keys to a Vauxhall Corsa taken in the same raid.
They struck at a house in Mount Terrace, Eccleshill and Jonathan Ramsden awoke to find his £27,000 company car missing.
A laptop computer and the keys to his partner Kirsty Parratt’s Vauxhall Corsa were also gone, but the keys for that car were found abandoned in the street outside.
The raid happened as the couple slept upstairs along with their one-year-old twins, Billy and Daisy.
Mr Ramsden, 26, said neighbours had seen some people hanging around in the street earlier on Tuesday evening before the theft that night, with a Volkswagen Golf, and believed they may have been linked to the incident.
The door was damaged so the offenders were able to remove the lock.
A car matching the description of his had been seen in Thorpe Edge, but had so far not been found, said Mr Ramsden, though he had been told by police they were following different lines of enquiry.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
