BEATLEMANIA is this month set to return to Keighley 50 years on. Tribute band Beatles For Sale promise to perform amazing harmonies from their catalogue of more than 100 hit songs.

The band will perform at the Octagon club in Bradford Road, Sandbeds, on January 23, with tickets costing £3.

Octagon owner John Pennington said: “The four-piece look authentic in Beatle suits with sound played on 1960s instruments through VOX valve amps.

“The band have successfully built a fine reputation over many years across the North of England playing regularly at the Liverpool Cavern and infamous Adelphi Hotel.”

Tomorrow (Jan 16) the Octagon is going back to the 80s rather than the 60s as it promises a Thriller of an evening.

The latest Disco Of Guilty Pleasures night will feature DJs in period costume playing traditional vinyl singles, supported by 80s live band Elektra.

Mr Pennington said: “There is a prize for the best period dress and the cost is great 80s value at £3 on the door.

“Be there to dance or just wallow in musical nostalgia.”

Supper is available.

The Octagon will host a performance from Nigel Garry, a former member of popular Bradford club band Scarlet Heights, on Sunday, (Jan 18) when he will sing comic songs, Irish songs and classic pop.

This month’s entertainment line-up is completed by guitar vocalist Darren Knight on January 25.
