Pool launch for dragon boat event
VISITORS to Bradford City’s Mirror Pool on Tuesday, January 20 between 11am and 3pm will see dragon boats in the water as part of an exciting promotional launch for the 2015 Lord Mayor's Appeal Dragon Boat Racing Event coming up in the spring.
Up to 40 teams are expected to compete in the first-ever City of Bradford Lord Mayor’s Appeal Dragon Boat race on Saturday, May 9 on the River Aire at Roberts Park in Saltaire.
Each team will get a minimum of three races each, racing against two other teams at any one time.
The charities that will benefit from the funds raised are Marie Curie and Make it Happen.
