SINGERS and people who fancy trying it are invited to a sing-along in Saltaire.
Around 100 people are expected to be at St Peter’s Church, in Moorhead Lane, on Wednesday, January 14, when Bradford Festival Choral Society has an open rehearsal as it starts preparing for its new season.
Topping the bill for the spring will be two performances of Beethoven’s Choral Symphony, said to be one of the most exciting singing opportunities for any choir.
It will also be performing with Howard Goodall, composer of favourites like the themes from Blackadder and the Vicar of Dibley.
Musical Director Tom Leech brings to the choir a wide range of experience including winning two medals with the Bradford Catholic Girls’ Choir at the World Choir Games and recording the soundtrack to the forthcoming film London Fields starring Billy Bob Thornton.
The rehearsal is at 7.30pm. E-mail bradfordfestivalchoralsociety@gmail.com to register your interest.
