TEACHERS have been invited to Bradford’s Impressions Gallery this month to share ideas for creative teaching methods.
Creative TeachMeet, on Thursday, January 22, 4pm-6.30pm, is a free event for teachers, museum and gallery educators, creative practitioners and youth workers from any subject area. Guest speakers include Irene Lofthouse, author and storyteller, and Clare Price, arts education consultantand Yorkshire Regional Associate for the campaign for drawing,while Andy Hill, co-director of Hidden Schools Tour, will talk about the exhibition of pupils' photomontages. Sophie Powell, Learning Manager at Impressions Gallery said: “We wanted to bring the TeachMeet idea out of schools to give teachers and educators the chance to meet beyond the classroom. We have fantastic speakers for our first Creative TeachMeet and we hope it will give people’s teaching practice an extra boost for thehead.”On Thursday, January 22, 4pm-6.30pm.
