A NEW beekeepers course gets under way next week.
Bradford Beekeepers’ Association is running the course which starts on January 15 and runs until May 21. The sessions run from 7-9pm at Bradford University.
Participants will learn about the bees, the equipment used in their care, acquiring and inspecting a colony, pests and diseases and about honey harvest and products of the hive.
Throughout the summer enthusiasts can also gain practical beekeeping experience in the association’s training apiary at Knowles Park, Bradford.
