TRIBUTES have been paid to the last founder member of Ilkley Choral Society.

Lydia Pettit, 89, performed in almost every concert since the group was formed in 1949.

She died on Boxing Day.

Society chairman Adrian Heeley said: “Lydia was awarded honorary membership of the society for her service. We will miss her cheerful manner.”
