VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help run a new cafe for older people at Thornton Community Centre in Bradford.
The Well Being Cafe begins serving next Friday and will be open from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. It will be held once a month.
Spokesman Kathryn Halford said: “Any older people who are feeling isolated, depressed or becoming a little forgetful, they and their spouse or carer would benefit from coming to our cafe.
“Our Well Being Cafe will provide a safe, friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere tailored to the needs of older people.”
There will be entertainment, activities and access to support. Tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits will be served.
Thornton Community Centre is in Market Street. For details, call Kathryn Halford on 01274 816748 or 07592011977. Transport to the cafe can be arranged.
