A WOMAN was left “badly shaken” after being robbed of jewellery and a handbag.
She was walking along West Street in Shelf at about 2.30am on December 29 when a man appeared and demanded she hand over property.
Jewellery and a handbag were handed over and the man fled up Cock Hill Lane.
The robber is described as 5ft 6in tall and believed to be aged in his mid-20s.
He spoke with a local accent and was thought to be white, although he was wearing a face-covering at the time.
Detective Constable Louise Halliwell, of Calderdale CID, said: “I would appeal for any witnesses to this incident to get in contact.
“The victim was not injured but was left badly shaken as a result.”
Anyone who has any information about the robbery can call Calderdale CID on 101.
