THE Telegraph & Argus Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal has been given a boost by Bradford Rotary Club which has said it will hold an event each month to raise money.
The club will continue to raise money towards the appeal until the £1 million target is achieved.
Its efforts started with an organised walk which resulted in thousands of pounds being raised.
The next event is a coffee morning at President Manoj Joshi’s home on Thursday, January 22, and there will also be a curry lunch on Sunday, February 22, at Spring Bank Place.
Mr Joshi said: “The Rotary Club of Bradford will continue to raise funds for the Bradford Crocus Cancer Appeal until it reaches its target.”
The T&A has joined with the University of Bradford, Yorkshire Cancer Research and the Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust to buy a high-tech mass spectrometer – a machine which could hold the key to cancer researchers making a vital discovery.
