A BATTLE to save a female cat and her sick kittens landed a charity based in the district with a £2,000 vet bill.
Yorkshire Cat Rescue, of Cross Roads, near Haworth, says a cat called Jessie and her blind kitten, Buzz, are the only survivors after a virus claimed the lives of the rest of the litter.
The cats’ medical treatment stretched across several months, and a fundraising campaign has been launched to try and recoup the costs of the vet bill.
