A WOMAN had to be freed from her wrecked car by firefighters after it went out of control following an apparent tyre blow-out on the M606.

The Peugeot 807 hit the central reservation near junction three yesterday shortly before 4 pm. Two lanes were closed while firefighters removed seats and used an extrication board get her out. The woman was suffering from potential spinal injuries, and was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
