CULLINGWORTH is poised to move a step closer to having its own neighbourhood development plan.
An application by the village council for neighbourhood area designation, which would pave the way for a plan to be drawn up, is set to be approved.
Bradford Council's executive will consider the issue on Tuesday. Officers have recommended that the go-ahead should be given.
Public consultation was carried out last autumn as Cullingworth and seven other communities across the district drew up the blueprints, which give people a greater say over development in their areas.
"The Cullingworth application contains a proposed boundary for the neighbourhood development plan along with a brief statement on why the parish council and the boundary are appropriate," said a Bradford Council spokesman.
"Further engagement will take place in due course as the plan itself is developed by the parish council."
