A COLLAPSED wall at a notorious traffic bottleneck in Shipley is causing tailbacks along Valley Road and into Bradford.
The two lanes which lead to the T-junction with Otley Road have been reduced to single file while Council workers try to repair the fallen wall.
A Council spokesman said: "Because of the collapse of a wall in Shipley we will today have had to close one lane of traffic for safety reasons and to prevent further damage to the highway.
"The reduction to a single lane is near the junction of Otley Road and Valley Road and it will affect traffic turning into Valley Road from Shipley.
"Bradford Council’s highway service is liaising with the landowner and the leaseholder in order to get the wall repaired as soon as possible."
The spokesman apologised for any delays and said the Council was working hard to get traffic flowing freely again.
