A SUSPECTED burglar had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck on a roof when running from police.
The suspect fled his house when officers arrived to arrest him last night.
The 31-year-old had to be helped down by firefighters using an aerial platform after getting stuck.
Police officers had gone to an address on Frank Street, Little Horton, at about 10.15pm as part of a pre-planned operation.
Detective Inspector Paula Bickerdike, of Bradford District CID, said: "Entry was gained to the premises, but the suspect was found to have left the building. He was located shortly afterwards on the roof of a nearby property.
"Emergency services attended the scene and helped to bring the man to safety.
"The man, aged 31, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in custody today."
