CHILDREN in the Bradford district have been set a challenge to learn five rhymes.
Bradford Council’s libraries are urging under fives to take up the Rhyme Challenge from this month until April.
The challenge will get under way at Burley Library on Monday, January 19 at 2pm.
It will also take place at libraries in Menston, Wyke, Shipley, Bingley, Clayton, Ilkley, Holme Wood, Thornton, Keighley and City.
Councillor Susan Hinchcliffe, Bradford Council’s executive member for employment, skills and culture, said: “This is a really fun activity for children and their families, but it is also laying important foundation stones for these children and their future.
“We are encouraging thousands of children to take part and aim to exceed last year’s success.”
