FIVE distinctive gold coins were stolen in a burglary in Bradford and police are now trying to trace them.
They are all commemorative Austrian coins, which feature the head of Emperor Franz Joseph I on one side and a crowned double-headed imperial eagle on the other.
They were among items stolen when offenders broke into a house in Silverhill Drive during the evening of New Year’s Eve.
Also taken from the property was a quantity of jewellery as well as a HP laptop computer.
Detective Inspector Paula Bickerdike, of Bradford District CID, said: “These coins are very distinctive and I would urge anyone who has seen these coins, or any coins like these since the evening of 31 December to contact the police immediately. “Anyone with information about the burglary is also asked to contact the police on non-emergency number 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
