EDWARDIAN marital shenanigans by actors in the district have helped raise money for Manorlands.
Keighley Playhouse members grew facial hair to add authenticity to characters on stage.
Anthony Calvert, Ian Wilkinson, Mike Ellison and Stephen Mason performed in JB Priestley’s classic comedy When We Are Married.
After the curtain fell on the last performance the men were sponsored to shave off their beards.
Between them the men raised £100 for Manorlands.
A Keighley Playhouse spokesman said that topiary – the growing of beards and moustaches – was common during the Edwardian period.
