A LARGE donation of Lego has been delivered to Airedale Hospital by the charity Fairy Bricks to help keep young patients entertained.
The money for the gift, which was handed over last Monday, (Dec 22) came from the successful Keighley Brick Show in October which raised more than £1,100 for Fairy Bricks and for Oakworth Scout Hannah Wedge who is going to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan next year.
The Keighley Brick Show was organised by local business Bricks 4 Kidz with support form Fairy Bricks, Brickshire & Northern Brickworks.
Keith Moran, director of Bricks 4 Kidz, said: “Fairy Bricks do amazing work all across the country and it was a pleasure to raise money for this fantastic charity.
"To be able to visit Airedale and hand over such a huge amount of Lego to the children on Ward 17 just before Christmas was amazing.
"Fairy Bricks gave us a huge selection, more than we thought they'd give. They've catered for different age groups, so what they've provided ranges from Duplo right up to the more advanced Lego sets."
