A BRADFORD Council consultation on the placing and maintenance of memorials in rural locations and parks ends later this month.
A short, online questionnaire on the subject has been made available for people to fill out, and must be completed by January 23.
A Council spokesman said the survey is to help it clarify its policy on what approach it should take to people's commemorations in places that were special to them.
"Current practice is that, up to date, most of these requests have been accommodated when we have been asked
" In some places, however, especially the more natural countryside sites, people have told us that they find too many memorials intrusive and that they detract from the setting.
"The same issue can arise in parks and woodlands where there are a large number benches already in situ.
"There is a need, therefore, for us to be clear about where we will allow additional memorials and where they will be limited," he added.
