A WOMAN originally from Keighley is more than halfway through a long-distance trip of a lifetime.
Elizabeth Cockerill and her partner Tim Harrington are travelling across North and Central America on their Suzuki XT250 motorbikes.
Miss Cockerill, 42, is a former pupil of Greenhead School who used to live in Utley. She now lives in London and is a detective for the Metropolitan Police, though she is currently on a sabbatical year.
She and Mr Harrington spent the festive period in Mexico City.
