PURPLE Futures, a new partnership of private sector, charities and social enterprise, will provide probation and rehabilitation services in West Yorkshire from next month.
Purple Futures expects an annual caseload of 12,000 offenders in West Yorkshire, where reoffending rates are 46 per cent. From February 1, the partnership will assume legal ownership of five Community Rehabilitation Companies (CRCs), and management of 2,000 probation service personnel. High-risk cases stay with the National Probation Service.
