Cleckheaton hotel could be demolished
THE Whitcliffe Hotel in Cleckheaton could be demolished to make way for housing.
Applicant S Singh has applied for planning permission to knock down the vacant hotel and build 20 homes in its place.
The hotel, in Prospect Road, closed its doors in January last year, after the business went into liquidation.
Members of the public are now being invited to comment on the planning application before a decision is made by Kirklees Council.
