WEST Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner Mark Burns-Williamson (pictured) has welcomed a new method for reporting crimes online.
The Local Crime Tracker allows people to report a crime, get a crime reference number and track action police are taking.
The service, designed as an alternative to calling 101 for non-emergency crimes, also allows victims of crime to leave written messages for the officer dealing with the case.
Mr Burns-Williamson said it: “The new Local Crime Tracker should bring down call waiting times for the 101 number while ensuring victims are supported."
