A 37-YEAR-OLD man who breached a court order for burgling Bradford Resource Centre has been sentenced to a six month electronically monitored curfew.
Ali Campbell, of Kingswood Place, Great Horton, Bradford, was surprised to be arrested on New Year's Day for the offence committed in May 2012, Bradford and Keighley magistrates heard.
He was brought to the court in custody yesterday after a warrant for his arrest was executed.
Prosecutor Paul Ramsay said Campbell stole a cheque and cash, to the value of £200, from the centre, on Chapel Street.
He had been drinking in the city centre and thought the centre an easy target.
The court was told he had breached his community order three times.
In mitigation, it was said that Campbell was disabled and could not carry out the unpaid work that was part of the community order.
He had not offended since and had thought the matter closed.
Campbell must stay indoors at his home from 7pm to 7am.
