TWO WOMEN have been arrested on suspicion of theft from a supermarket in the Spen Valley.
The alleged incident took place at the Morrisons store in Union Street, Heckmondwike, on Monday.
The suspects were detained by security staff until police officers arrived.
A spokesman for the area’s neighbourhood policing team said the women had entered the store, acquired carrier bags from the checkouts and proceeded to fill them with goods.
It is alleged that the women, both originally from Hungary, then attempted to leave the store without paying for the goods.
