PEOPLE from Keighley have been invited to take part in a project to improve a well-used pedestrian route.
They can participate in a clear-up day focused on the Cat Steps, a footpath between North Dean Road, Braithwaite and Fell Lane.
Funding from the Ministry of Defence’s community covenant grant scheme has been secured by an initiative called Cat Steps: Taking a Step with the Armed Forces in Keighley, for the event on January 17.
Community development worker Pip Gibson said: “The aim of the project is to bring together civilian and armed forces communities who have a shared interest in creating a more accessible route and taking part in exciting activities.
“The day will be about clearing the Cat Steps in preparation for repairs.
“Further activities on site include adventure and creative play and sapling planting.”
The clear-up day, which will include refreshments, will run from 10am to 2pm.
Participants should wear clothing and footwear suitable for poor weather and muddy surfaces.
