A SCHOOL caretaker has retired after more than three decades at a school.
Kath Bell started work at the then Long Lee First School, Keighley, as a cleaner, 32 years ago.
She was later appointed caretaker and continued in the role when the school became a primary and relocated from its old building, in Long Lee Lane, to the present site in Cherry Tree Rise in 2000.
During the past few years she has seen further changes as the school expands to two-form entry.
“I am sad to leave,” said Mrs Bell.
“I have enjoyed every minute of my time here.”
Staff and pupils presented her with cards and gifts.
Acting head, Sue Holdsworth, said: “I would like to thank Kath for her hard workover the years and her dedication to providing the best for all the children who have attended Long Lee Primary School during the past 32 years.”
