A TOTAL of 24 schools across the Bradford district have expressed an interest in having solar panels installed on their roofs.
Bradford Council has written to all schools in relation to the School Energy Scheme and to gauge the level of interest.
The expressions of interest received so far have resulted in 17 energy audits being carried out to assess the suitability of solar panel installation.
The Council said all viable schemes were being taken forward as soon as possible. Installation is expected to be carried out over the next 12 months subject to planning permission on some schools and approval of loans.
