ANNUAL fundraising sheepdog trials will be held at an Oakworth farm for the last time on New Year's Day.
The event, organised by mother and son team Carol and Philip Mellin, has been running since 1991.
Since 2003 the occasion has raised £24,911 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The trials previously collected money for the Child Development Centre at Airedale General Hospital.
Confirming that this will be the final instalment of the long-running contest, Mrs Mellin said it had become harder to collect donations from people and businesses.
"Now that we're about to raise more than £25,000 it seems like a nice total to end on," she added.
The event will begin at 9.30am at Moor Lodge Farm, and will feature on-site catering and an auction run by Jeremy Eaton, general manager at Skipton Auction Mart.
Mrs Mellin said the trials should again attract competitors from as far afield as Derbyshire and Cumbria.
