AWARD-winning healthcare staff at Bradford District Care Trust have won praise from bosses.
Almost 40 nursing and corporate staff, who had all won local, regional or national awards in 2014, joined members of the Trust Board at their December meeting.
Chief executive Simon Large said: "Our staff are extremely passionate about providing the best possible care to people living in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven.
"The board is proud that many of our staff have been recognised in 2014 for their dedication, creativity and innovation, something which we see daily at the Trust."
Among the board’s special guests was an Ilkley health visitor, Claire Rowley, who won the Queen’s Nursing Institute award for outstanding service and learning disabilities nurse Lesley Taylor, of Bradford, who represented the Trust at 10 Downing Street.
Clerical assistant Courtenay White, who was named NHS Apprentice of the Year for Yorkshire and the Humber, said: "I feel honoured to have represented the Trust this year. It was great to meet all the other award winners, and talk about our achievements with members of the Board."
Also among the guests was Debra Gilderdale, who was awarded Yorkshire and Humber NHS Leader of the Year award, the Trust’s Human Resources Team that scooped the Bevan Brittan Award for HR contribution to organisational change, and Airedale Centre for Mental Health cleaning team who won a Golden Service Award for Best Cleaned Premises.
