BUS passengers using First West Yorkshire services will have a new way to pay their fares in future after the firm adopted Barclays Pingit as a new option.

First introduced a mobile ticketing service earlier this year, allowing customers to use mobile telephones as bus tickets.

Their latest move means customers can now pay for their mTickets using the Barclays Pingit mobile payment app.

Paul Matthews, managing director of First West Yorkshire, said: “Our partnership with Barclays puts First at the forefront of bus ticketing technology and reflects our commitment to grasp ever more innovative ways to make bus travel better, easier and more convenient.”
