AN UNINSURED motorist wrecked a driving instructor's car when he was more than three times the drink drive limit, a court heard.
Paul Ackroyd, 33, of Edgehill Close, Queensbury, Bradford, pleaded guilty to driving on Collingham Avenue, Buttershaw, Bradford, on August 29 with 257 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
He also admitted failing to stop after an accident, driving without a valid licence and driving uninsured.
Bradford and Keighley magistrates were told yesterday that Ackroyd's vehicle collided with the front of the driving instructor's car, writing it off.
Ackroyd's solicitor advocate, Alistair Bateman, conceded he had been drinking at a party.
He was disqualified from driving for 24 months and ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
Ackroyd must pay court costs of £85, a surcharge of £60 and compensation to the victim of £545.
