A BRADFORD paedophile has been charged with five counts of breaching a sex offenders order by inviting children into his home.
David Betts, 64, of Heybeck Walk, Holme Wood, faces four charges, each of inviting three children aged under 18 into his home address without reasonable excuse between March 1 and December 8 this year
The remaining count of the same offence, involves inviting one child into his home, also took place between March 1 and December 8 this year, Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court heard yesterday.
Betts, who did not appear in court, was sentenced to serve a three-and-a-half year extended prison term on January 23, 2012 after he admitted a string of indecent assaults on a vulnerable teenager.
At the time, he was ordered to sign the sex offender register for an indefinite period. He was also made subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order, also for an indefinite period.
Magistrates were told Betts has been recalled to prison on licence and the case was adjourned to the court on January 7 when he will appear via video link from prison.
