A HOT potato and sandwich shop could soon be opened in an empty city centre unit close to the Westfield development.
The unit, 67 Market Street, is next to The Old Bank pub, and is subject of a planning application by Nazrinda Malik to turn it from a shop to a cafe and hot food take away.
Her application says: "Market Street will become of greater significance once the new Westfield shopping centre development is complete. Market Street will then become the most direct route from the shopping centre to the Bradford City Park."
The proposed opening times are 8am to 8pm, and if approved, the business would create five full time and two part time jobs.
A decision on the application will be made in February.
