BRADFORD Council has spread about 1,300 tonnes of rock salt on the district's road since Christmas Day.
The authority's gritting trucks covered roads across the region, and were also out at 5pm yesterday covering all 26 designated routes.
Also, from 7.30am yesterday, seven gritters were deployed to treat ice on side roads in Denholme, Queensbury, Allerton, Thornton, Clayton, Buttershaw, Woodside, Low Moor
Odsal, Marshfields, Canterbury, Holme Wood , Eccleshill, Wrose and Thackley.
Two patrols from 10pm were last night scheduled to treat 200 miles of main road across Bradford.
A Council spokesman said weather conditions would again be assessed today to consider the most appropriate response.
