MACMILLAN Cancer Support's local volunteers have double cause for celebration as they look ahead to 2015.
The charity's Otley and Wharfedale Fundraising Group's efforts have been boosted by the receipt of two cheques with a combined total of more than £2,500.
The group received £1,013.51p from Yeadon Senior Citizens Thursday Afternoon Group at its Christmas party in Yeadon Town Hall.
Member Ernest Carr, celebrating his 100th birthday, presented the the money which had been collected by the Thursday group during 2014.
Another Yeadon-based group, The Brassneck Theatre Company, meanwhile, also delighted the fundraisers by making a £1,500 donation.
