A HOMEOWNER has lodged an appeal after being refused retrospective planning permission for a rear dormer.
Rab Nawaz was refused permission for the dormer at Wimborne Drive, Allerton, Bradford, in August and has now appealed.
In the appeal letter, Mr Nawaz’s agent said the original plans for the rear dormer would not have needed planning permission.
He added: “Unfortunately, the employed builder carried out works that deviated from the approved drawing, resulting in a construction that no longer fell within permitted development parameters.
“The applicant was unaware of the builder’s deviation from the approved drawing.
“Once the issues came to light the appellant asked the builder to return to rectify the wrongdoings but unfortunately he declined and is now no longer contactable.”
