AN ELDERLY pedestrian last night remained in a critical condition in hospital after he was involved in a collision with a car on Oakdale Avenue, Wibsey, Bradford, at 9.30am on Monday, December 22.
The 88-year-old man, was crossing Oakdale Avenue, about 20 yards from the junction with St Enochs Road, when he was hit by a silver Toyota Yaris, and fell under the rear end of a silver Ford Focus.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with significant and serious head injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.
A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving.
PC Andrew Gudgeon said: “This incident occurred at one of the busiest times of the morning and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.”
