A CHRISTMAS Bronte Tractor Run took place today to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A convoy of vehicles set off from Colin Appleyard Cars in South Street, Keighley, at 10am to cover a route including narrow sections of road and a blind bend, across Keighley and the Worth Valley , of about 24 miles.
The run finished at the Bronte Hotel in Haworth for a stew lunch, raffle and tombola.
It follows last year's Christmas Run where more than 50 vehicles took part raising £1,555 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and in May this year another run made £538 for Manorlands Sue Ryder hospice in Oxenhope.
This is the 14th year of Bronte Tractor Runs in aid of good causes which have also included Guide Dogs for the Blind.
One of the organisers Louise Turner, said: "We've had 45 vehicles and not just tractors. We've had camper vans, transit vans, family cars, Land Rovers - you name it. If it has wheels and can move it can join us!
Some of the businesses which supported the event, the auction and raffle included Helicopter Pleasure Flights, Woodbank Nurseries, Cross Road Fisheries, The Grouse in Oldfield, Go Bowling in Shipley and Sainsburys.
The next Bronte Tractor Run is likely to be held in the spring for another deserving good cause.
