BRADFORD Cathedral's annual Christmas Eve carol recital proved one of the highlights of its festive services.
Families packed into the cathedral for the concert, which featured favourites such as The First Noël, Once in Royal David's City and Jingle Bells.
There was also a welcome by the Dean of Bradford, the Very Rev Jerry Lepine, an organ recital, a reading by Canon Sam Corley and a blessing by Bishop Nick Baines.
The Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Mike Gibbons, was one of the special guests at the recital.
He said: "It was absolutely packed. Everyone was in good spirits and it was just a really lovely carol service.
"It is a superb service to hold on Christmas Eve."
The cathedral hosted a number of carol concerts throughout December, including events for the district's Magistrates, Bradford City Football Club and Bradford Rotary Club.
In his Christmas message, Rev Lepine said: "In a world where people often experience cynicism, greed, despair and loneliness, the Cathedral affirms the love of god for all humanity and the possibility that we too can love in return."
