A THIRD Bradford primary school has won a £1,000 bonus from the UK Government after being identified as among the country’s best for improving the prospects of its disadvantaged pupils.
St Francis Catholic Primary School, in Myers Lane, had 38 children from its 247 pupils who qualified for Pupil Premium payments, of £900 per child, which helped finance a non-class based deputy head teacher, attendance initiatives, IT support, booster classes, and subsidised educational outings.
The success of that work has now earned an extra £1,000.
