KIND-HEARTED staff from the University of Bradford handed out more than 100 gifts to children who will be spending Christmas in the two district hospitals.
The University’s fifth annual Christmas Gift Appeal saw staff hand out Christmas gifts to children who are spending the festive season at Bradford Royal Infirmary or Airedale Hospital.
Rachael Gartland, Hayley Jackson and Sharron Crowther, marketing and recruitment staff from the University’s Faculty of Health Studies, gave the presents to BRI staff yesterday.
Donations of cash and presents have been collected at the University of Bradford over the last month.
They will do the same thing at Airedale Hospital tomorrow.
Santa Claus himself will then hand out the donated presents to the children at the two hospitals closer to Christmas Day.
Dr Pamela Bagley, Dean of Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Bradford, said: “We are delighted to be able to spread some festive cheer to those spending Christmas away from loved ones.”
