WILSDEN Primary School pupils have decorated a champion Christmas tree.
The school was given trees by housebuilder Harron Homes, which has a development nearby.
Different schools were asked to send in photographs of their trees and Wilsden’s was deemed the most impressive, winning £500 to buy library books.
Katie Charlesworth, sales and marketing manager for Harron Homes, said, “We are always keen to get involved with the communities around our new homes developments and with the help of our landscapers we were able to donate five impressive trees to local schools. “We thoroughly enjoyed judging the decorations as everyone had gone to considerable effort to make their tree look as festive as possible. We are delighted to name Wilsden Primary School as the winner and were particularly impressed with how the red colour scheme matched their uniforms.”
Head teacher, John Davison, said he was “very proud” of his pupils.
